Hot This Week: August 27

We go into the last week of August with the new Avengers movie making the list, and bringing its predecessor along for the ride. Heavy metal band Slipknot takes over the week's music chart, with new music from rapper Rick Ross debuting as well. New novels from C.J. Box, Stuart Woods, and Téa Obreht join the fiction list, while a book on power and politics and a biography of guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan do so in non-fiction.

Three new titles in movies represent the biggest change of the week, with sci-fi flicks Alita: Battle Angel and Hellboy coming in just behind Shazam! at the top. Ed Sheeran holds onto #1 on the music chart, with the new Lion King soundtrack making its first appearance. In fiction, David Baldacci manages to dislodge Delia Owens from the top spot, with Timothy Zahn bringing a beloved Star Wars character back for another round down the list.
